Be A Light.

An ancient sconce in Bethlehem.

light warms
darkness chills

light is vision
darkness is blindness

light penetrates
darkness overwhelms

light is hope
darkness is despair

light floats
darkness drowns

Be A Light.

The room where Jerome is said to have translated the Latin Vulgate Bible in Bethlehem around 405BC.

How can we be a light today for someone else?

Jesus teaches in the Sermon on the Mount: “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
