The songwriter of “God Bless America,” Irving Berlin, was a Russian Jew who immigrated to the U. S. in 1893. He released this song before America stepped into WWII and it soon became regarded as a song of prayer as our nation shipped off its young men and women to war. It’s still as powerful today as it was when we first heard it more than sixty years ago…

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was just Diana, princess of the Amazons. To anyone outside of Themyscira (a.k.a.Paradise Island), she was a nobody, a no-name. Her position was simply that of an heir (albeit, an heir on whom the hopes of her entire team would rest!).

And then, one day, she exhibited a tiny display of her “gods-given” power. Everything changes from that moment forward for her character.
